Our most recent visit to The Pines was a lot about Nature.
Our first visit with Nature was the nicely preserved (hair intact, but not much else) squirrel. We are thinking this is the same squirrel found last month and it's come back as a zombie squirrel. We tossed it in the same bushes as last time. We'll find out in a few days if it comes back again. (Toss in some Vincent Price laughter right here. Mwaaaa aaaa aaaa)

Beth found a cute little bird's nest in the tree just off the deck

There were 4 little bitty eggs in the nest. Not enough for breakfast

In the property to the north of us we saw a couple deer looking for a late lunch

We found out that one of the trees near the driveway was an apple tree. We are looking forward to trying out the apples.

A couple of the flowers are nicely in bloom. Very pretty.

On Saturday we found a deer taking a cool nap under a tree right near our front door. When we drove up, he got up and walked to the back corner of the property.

Beth caught a picture of me using an inappropriate altitude capturing device while installing the kitchen screen.

While I was working on building a bridge by the front door, Beth raked up about 140 billion pine needles.

...and then we collected a bunch more junk found throughout the property that needed to go to the dumps when we take the pine needles. This will be our 3rd trip to the dump.

Saturday was our 28th Anniversary. I made breakfast, Kitty helped.

On the front of the house I was setting up the foundation for building a bridge to the front steps, spanning a bunch of unneeded steps. Kitty was very happy when I was done because she can walk slopes and the steps hurt her aching joints.

Here Kitty is helping me plan out the bridge.

This is the finished product.

We also put in a new front door step where there was a jump to the deck.

When resting from a full days work, this is what we do.

Here is a tease for our next visit. Hmmm, what is coming up next?
